LEWISTON – The Lisbon and Lewiston High School Youth2Youth Groups were the keynote speakers at Lewiston-Auburn Rotary’s April 12 lunch meeting at the Ramada Inn.

Y2Y adviser Bernie McAllister introduced the students, whose presentation covered their experience at Healthy Androscoggin’s first-ever Youth2Youth conference on March 29 at L/A College.

A total of 113 middle and high school students from Lewiston, Auburn, Poland, Lisbon, Turner, Leeds and Greene were in attendance. The conference focused on assisting youth in developing knowledge and skills to educate, advocate and support healthy lifestyle decisions among their peers and community.

The Lewiston-Auburn Rotary was the major sponsor of the one-day conference. The group holds weekly meetings at noon Thursdays at the Ramada Inn. Anyone wishing to hear speakers or to learn more about Rotary is welcome. Weekly buffet luncheons are $8 a person.

Access the club’s Web site at www.lewistonauburnrotary.org for more information and to learn about future speakers.
