POLAND – The Western Maine Chapter of the Small Woodland Owners Association of Maine will host a dedication and tour of the Davis Family Forest at 9 a.m. May 19.

The 41-acre lot is the newest addition to the growing SWOAM land trust family, which now totals nearly 2,000 acres. The land is predominantly sawlog-size white pine with a scattering of hardwoods.

All SWOAM meetings are open to the public. Coffee and doughnuts will be available at 8:30 at the site.

Travel on Route 26 to Poland, turn onto Aggregate Road by the town garage and fire station. Turn right on Plains Road and then turn left on Cobb Road. Look for SWOAM signs.
