She gave me memories.
I loved her so much-
it was the strongest love I knew of.
She was so special,
and although she’s only memories now,
I’d never trade those memories,
not even for a million dollars.
She took care of me when I was sick.
She put band-aids on my scrapes.
She dealt with my fears of ghosts
that were in the house.
Most moms do that stuff.
But…
I mostly remember our last month together,
before she died.
It was wonderful.
It was filled with love and the feeling that someone
cared about me and wanted me with them.
The feeling a mom should give her child.
We talked and spent time together.
She gave me memories.
