AUBURN – Marta Greenwood, an international speaker and practitioner of Christian Science healing, will present a talk, “The Power of Prayer to Disarm Terrorism,” at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 24, at the Hilton Garden Inn, 14 Great Falls Plaza.

Her appearance is being sponsored by the First Church of Christ, Scientist, Auburn-Lewiston.

Greenwood will discuss how people can tap into spiritual resources to rebuild a life, to move beyond worries and anxieties. Those attending will learn practical ways to put compassion into action by focusing on renewal instead of destruction and not be a victim of circumstances.

Greenwood’s ideas are based on the book, “Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures” by Mary Baker Eddy. Admission is free.

Raised in Iran and educated in England, Greenwood travels internationally from London, England. She is a member of the Christian Science board of lectureship and travels internationally, giving seminars and workshops on spiritual healing to medical faculties, universities and health expos.
