RICHMOND – Kristina Burch received the top award for her entry in the Enterprise Community Grange 48 annual poster contest. Marilyn Stinson, grange program director, made the presentation. Burch is a Richmond area seventh-grader.

Students in grades six and seven were given the opportunity to share their artistic talents with the Richmond community. Home-schoolers were also invited. Nineteen sixth-graders participated with a theme of “Reaching for the Stars,” and 11 seventh-graders with a theme of “Pride in Maine.”

Other winners in grade seven were Fionna Sterling and Leandra Martin, tied for first place; Dustin Alexander, second; and Danica Hurley, third. Grade six winners were Kelley Holt, first; Brittany Parlin and Brianna Snedeker, tied for second; and Julien Leavitt, third.

All posters were exhibited in the Community Room during Grange Month and all the support groups, Senior Citizens church fellowship, other organizations and Grangers who used the hall were invited to vote for their favorites. Special certificates have been awarded.

Richmond’s Enterprise Community Grange meets the first Thursday each month and welcomes guests.
