LEWISTON – A fireworks display originally scheduled for last week at Bates College has been rescheduled for tonight.

Sangai Asia, a Bates student organization celebrating Asian culture, will host a party with fireworks and Chinese food starting at 8:30 at the Keigwin Amphitheater, next to the Olin Arts Center, 75 Russell St.

The fireworks start at 9 p.m. The event is open to the public at no cost.

Originally scheduled for Friday, May 18, the event was postponed because of inclement weather.
