MEXICO – The Mexico Historical Society will meet at 5:30 p.m. today for a hot dish supper at the Calvin Lyons meeting room, Town Hall. Entertainment will be by Del Parker.

Yard sale
DIXFIELD – The Congregational Church (the church on the hill) annual spring yard sale will be held from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 26. Coffee and doughnuts will be on sale. For more information, call 364-3633.
Legion service
DIXFIELD – The Swasey-Torrey Post 100, American Legion, will hold a Memorial Day service at 9 a.m. Monday, May 28, at the War Memorial in Greenwood Cemetery. From Dixfield they will go to the Peru Bridge to meet with Peru Post 199 for a service there.
Gospel concert
BETHEL – Gospel singer and recording artist, Ken Fernald, will be in concert at Bethel Alliance Church at 6 p.m. Sunday, June 3. The church is located at 251 Walkers Mills
Fernald has traveled in a music ministry throughout New England for more than 25 years and is a seasoned soloist. The message in song is done with familiar hymns as well as some of the newer gospel favorites.
Fernald has hosted radio and television programs and now travels in a full-time concert ministry. He makes his home in Portsmouth, N.H.
All are invited to the concert and fellowship and refreshments after.
Win meal
MEXICO – Guests attending a recent supper at the Mexico Congregational United Church of Christ (the “Green Church”) were invited to place their names in a drawing for a free dinner at the next public supper. Winners were Sue Byam of Mexico and Marlin Thurston of Peru.
