BATH – Sam Morency tallied a pair of hits, including a two-run double, as Lewiston edged Morse 3-2 in KVAC softball.

Amanda Monk smashed a double in the bottom of the sixth to bring the Shipbuilders (7-5) within one run. The rally fell short when Kate Ross was thrown out at the plate by third-baseman Robyn Kennedy.

Erica Morin also registered an RBI double for the Blue Devils (6-6), while Danielle Willey struck out six to earn the win.

Gardiner 4, Mt. Blue 3

FARMINGTON – Mt. Blue committed five errors to help Gardiner come from behind for a 4-3 victory over Mt. Blue.

Gardiner scored two runs, one earned, in the top of the first, but Natasha Howard tied it up for the Cougars with a two-run homer in the second. Mt. Blue took a 3-2 lead in the third, but Gardiner pushed two across in the fifth to take the lead for good.

Kelly Yardley added a double for Mt. Blue (8-4). Ashley Abbot led Gardiner with three singles.

Oxford Hills 12, EL 0

SOUTH PARIS – Oxford Hills scored four runs in the first and cruised to a 12-0 rout over Edward Little.

Mindy Rugg and Emmylou Blake led the Vikings (11-1) with two hits apiece.

Samantha Dolloff picked up the win on the mound, giving up two hits in five innings.

Telstar 12, Mtn. Valley 2

BETHEL – Sophomore pitcher Candace Hall struck out nine and improved to 12-0 as Telstar crusied to a 12-2 victory over Mountain Valley.

Junior left fielder Abby Hutchins contributed a pair of hits and scored three times for the Rebels (12-0). Telstar scored eight times in the first two innings to take control.

Junior shortstop Kelly Palmer went 2-for-3 for the Falcons (5-6) and had a double to her credit.

Liv. Falls 19, Carrabec 9

LIVERMORE FALLS – Jenny Freeman hit an RBI double and registered her second straight three-hit game as Livermore Falls trounced Carrabec 19-9.

The Andies (3-8) benefitted from 14 walks and four hit-batters and broke the game open with 11 runs in the third inning.

Kathrynn Lake, Hillary Hemminger and Chelsie Morris combined for six hits for the Andies, with Lake earning the win on the mound, striking out six.

Myranda Knight and Tiffany Gurney led the Cobras (1-10) with two hits apiece.

Dirigo 5, Lisbon 3

LISBON FALLS – Dirigo scored a run in each of the last two innings to break a tie and hold off Lisbon for a 5-3 victory.

Katie Hutchinson struck out eight, walked six and gave up five hits to pick up the win for the Cougars (5-6). Batterymate Katrina Pulk paced the offense with two hits. Emily Moore took the loss for the Greyhounds (7-4), although four of the runs she surrendered were unearned.

Oak Hill 5, Rockland 4

WALES – Cadie Rodrigue smacked three hits and drove in the game-winning run in the seventh inning as Oak Hill pulled out a 5-4 triumph over Rockland.

Deidra Dubuc had two hits, and Becca Roberts and Angie Russell each added a double and two RBIs for the Raiders (6-7). Bailey Bogss led Rockland (7-6) with three hits, including a double and a triple.

Fryeburg 16, Wells 5

WELLS – Sophomore pitcher Hannah Hill collected 15 strikeouts as Fryeburg poured on the offense in a convincing 16-5 victory over Wells.

Junior catcher Cerise Humphrey was instrumental for the Raiders (11-0), going 4-for-4 with three runs and two RBIs.

The Warriors stayed within striking distance until the seventh inning, when Fryeburg doubled their scoring output with an eight-run frame.

Mt. Abram 4, Jay 1

JAY – Kenni Norton had two hits and drove in two runs to lead Mt. Abram to a 4-1 victory over Jay.

Liz LeBlanc scored Jay’s lone run on Zane Armandi’s single in the fourth inning. The Roadrunners (6-4) pulled away in the sixth when four walks paved the way for RBI singles by Norton and Jillian Withee.

Desiree Castonguay of Jay (9-3) had a double for the lone extra-base hit.
