BETHEL – Matt Laubauskas was effectively wild while tossing a no-hitter, as Mountain Valley knocked off Telstar, 12-2, in a Mountain Valley Conference tilt shortened to six innings by the 10-run mercy rule.

Laubauskas fanned 12 and walked five in six innings of work for the Falcons (10-1). Corey Devoe had a two-run homer and Justin Staires collected a pair of hits to lead the offense. Mike Fleet took the loss for Telstar (6-6), despite no-hitting the Falcons into the fourth inning.

Cony 8, Leavitt 1

AUGUSTA – Zach Logan hit a pair of doubles to lead Cony to an 8-1 victory over Leavitt in KVAC baseball action Monday.

Four Cony pitchers combined to two-hit the Hornets (2-9), with Corey Nason earning the win. Matt Paladino drove in the only Leavitt run with a sacrifice fly in the sixth.

Monmouth 10, Georges Valley 4

THOMASTON -MacKenzie Tozier and Erik Murphy drove in three runs apiece as Monmouth scored 10 times in the final three innings for a 10-4 comeback win over Georges Valley.

Nate Armstrong picked up the win for the Mustangs (7-4), giving up two earned runs and three hits in seven innings. Devin Robbins had a hit and scored three times for Monmouth. Nick Lemieux had two hits and scored three runs to lead Georges Valley (4-7), which committed seven errors.

Lisbon 2, Dirigo 1

LISBON FALLS – Lisbon scored twice in the sixth inning and held off a Dirigo rally in the seventh to pick up a 2-1 victory.

The Greyhounds did all their damage with two outs in the sixth. Frank Angelico doubled and moved to third on a wild pitch. After David Yaede walked, Marcus Bubar stroked a base hit to drive in Angelico. Devan Knight then singled in Yaede with what proved to be the winning run.

Dirigo got one back in the seventh when Josh Palmer drove in Dakota Holmquist, but the Cougars couldn’t push the tying run against Kyle Neagle, who struck out six, walked one and scattered eight hits in the complete game effort for the Greyhounds.

Spencer Berry took the loss for Dirigo, yielding five hits and four walks, while fanning four in six innings. He and Larry Hutchins led the Cougars with two hits apiece.

Livermore Falls 11, Carrabec 0

LIVERMORE FALLS – Five different pitchers combined for a one-hitter and five different Andies were repeat hitters as Livermore Falls routed Carrabec 11-0.

Josh Tainter had three hits to lead the Andies’ 11-hit attack. Kevin Gats belted a double and a homer and knocked in five runs. Jake Marceau, Kyle Stebbins and Shawn Whiting also had two hits.

Marceau, Gats, Willie Brown and Derek Castonguay combined for the shutout for the Andies (8-3). Chris Everett had the lone hit for Carrabec (0-11).

St. Dom’s 11, Old Orchard Beach 10

AUBURN – St. Dom’s scored twice in the bottom of the seventh to top Old Orchard Beach, 11-10, in a Western Maine Conference slugfest on Monday.

Willie Emerson led off the final frame for the Saints (9-1) with a single. Jake Rutt drove him in with a gap shot to right-center for a triple, then scored the winning run on Aaron Allen’s sacrifice fly.

Peter Lewis relieved Rutt in the fourth, left in the fifth and came back in the seventh to get the win. He also had three hits. Ryan Park had a three-run triple for Old Orchard (5-6).

Gardiner 10, Mt. Blue 2

FARMINGTON – Gardiner erupted for eight runs in the final two innings to pull away for a 10-2 victory over Mt. Blue.

Will Phelps and Kyle Stilphen both hit 2-runs doubles in the sixth inning to help the Tigers (10-1) break the game open. Forest Chadwick had three hits for Gardiner, including a double and triple.

A pair of errors paved the way for both of Mt. Blue’s runs in the sixth inning. Ryan Given took the loss for the Cougars (5-7).

Oxford Hills 6, Edward Little 0

SOUTH PARIS – Ben Goodall tossed a five-hit shutout as Oxford Hills topped Edward Little, 6-0, in KVAC baseball action.

Goodall fanned four and walked three in going the distance for the Vikings (10-2). Ethan Sutton clubbed a pair of doubles and Matt Verrier had two hits for Oxford Hills. Cody Goddard had a double for the Red Eddies (4-8).

Waynflete 11, Buckfield 7

PORTLAND – Four Buckfield errors led to seven runs in the second inning and sent Waynflete to an 11-7 triumph on Monday.

Buckfield outhit Waynflete, 8-4, led by three hits from Cy Wilkinson, two by Zach Cowett and a base hit, two walks and an RBI by Dylan Emery. Tyler Weymouth also had a double for the Bucks (6-4).

Oak Hill 4, Rockland 2

WALES – Chris Ellis fired a two-hitter and struck out 13 to lead Oak Hill to a 4-2 victory over Rockland.

The Raiders (7-6) took a 2-1 lead in the first on RBI singles by Dustin Dubuc and Ben Rines. Ethan Guerette knocked in the eventual game-winner with an RBI single in the second. Josh Jillson added an RBI single that scored Tom Edgecomb, who had two hits.

Lewiston 5, Morse 3

BATH – Lewiston pitcher Josh Leino turned in a stellar performance with 11 strikeouts and helped his cause with a two-run homer as Lewiston downed Morse 5-3.

Trailing 1-0 entering the fifth, Lewiston (8-4) finally solved pitcher Dan Plummer, tacking on three runs in the fifth and two in the sixth.

Ryan Dube pitched in relief of Leino with the tying run at the plate in the bottom of the seventh, forcing a fly out to seal the win.

Plummer and Riley Walker each had a pair of hits for the Shipbuilders (1-11).

Lacrosse

NYA 15, St. Dom’s 1

AUBURN – Taylor Garman scored five goals to spark North Yarmouth to a 15-1 win over St. Dom’s.

The Saints (2-5) averted the shutout in the final quarter on a goal by Cam McKee.

Trevar Haeeefele and Ben Horton combined for 10 saves for the Saints. Matt Ward stopped four shots for NYA (8-1).
