FARMINGTON – While making routine security checks, police Detective Marc Bowering found two youths exiting a window at 3:30 a.m. Saturday at Jade Palace, a Chinese restaurant on Wilton Road.
Bowering said the two 17-year-olds had stolen beer, soda and liquor, which was recovered. The teens were both charged with burglary and theft.
A second theft was reported Saturday morning at Narrow Gauge Cinema, Bowering said, where at least $2,000 was stolen from a couple of office areas within the theater. There was no forced entry, he said, so police aren’t sure how the thief got into the building. Police are investigating the possibility of a key being used.
“We do have a couple suspects and are conducting interviews,” he said.
