WEST PARIS – The West Paris Historical Society will hold the annual baked bean and casserole dinner with homemade rolls and pies at 5:30 p.m. Friday, June 1, to kick off the Old Home Days. Adults will be $6; 12 and under, $3. The museum will be open to the public during dinner.
On Saturday, June 2, there will be a quilt show in the hall held by Beth Allen and Elaine Emery with Judy Sellers working on a new quilt. They will also serve “High Tea and Sweets” from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The museum will also be open from noon to 4 p.m.
Milt Inman will present his historical West Paris slide show from 2 p.m., also on June 2. For more information, call Ted and Betty Jones at 674-2507.
West Paris Grange will also take party in the town’s 50th anniversary by letting the Great Falls Model Railroad use the hall again to show models from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, June 2, and from 11 a.m. until there are no more visitors Sunday, June 3.
The Grange will take part in the town walkaround open house from the Historical Society to the library, to the grange, to the Baptist Church, to the Mission Congregational Church, to the Finnish American Society.
