YWCA is taking camp registrations
LEWISTON – The YWCA of Central Maine is accepting registrations for summer camp. The program accepts 70 campers into the program. Children attending before/after school and day care at the YWCA have the opportunity for preregistration.
“There are some spots still available to the general public, but they will go quickly,” said Pamela Murphy, director of child care services. “So anyone who has not already received a registration package should plan to do so very soon.”
The camp has an exciting summer planned, including a trip to Boston. In addition to arts, crafts, nature exploration, sports and swimming lessons, each week the campers will have an end-of-week barbecue with music provided by a DJ.
“We really tried to plan this summer so that it was filled with learning activities, a variety of field trips and fun for all aged campers,” said Charles Bunyea, summer camp director.
The YWCA of Central Maine accepts TOPS Scholarship dollars for attendees. This year, there is also a discount available for those who are attending the full eight-week program.
