TURNER – Christina Benton and Anthony Barker are announcing the engagement of their parents, Robert Benton and Valerie Barker, both of Turner.

Miss Barker is a 1976 graduate of Hall Dale High School and a 1980 graduate of the University of Maine at Farmington, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in teaching. She is also a graduate of the University of Maine at Orono, where she earned her master’s degree. She is currently employed at Academy Hill School in Wilton.

Mr. Benton is a 1975 graduate of Wakefield High School in Arlington, Va., and served four years in the U.S. Navy. He is currently employed at Bath Iron Works as a combat electrical supervisor.

The wedding will be held on June 30 at the East Auburn Baptist Church.
