LEWISTON – The wedding of Ivory Michelle Callas and Eric David Cavers was held at 5 p.m. on Sept. 16 at the Bates College Chapel in Lewiston. Dennis Mailhot officiated at the ceremony.
Mrs. Cavers is the daughter of Rick Callas of Manchester, N.H., and Nancy Callas of Portland. Mr. Cavers is the son of Ricky and Sherry Cavers of Otisfield.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a strapless diamond white gown with beading and long train. She carried a bouquet of off-white roses and stephanotis.
Lauren Collins, best friend, was maid of honor, and bridesmaids were Lauren Callas, sister, Jennifer Cox and Stacey Tibbetts, sisters-in-law, Kristen Houseal and Danielle Heppell, friends, and Kaitlin Harmon, cousin. Keanna Stover, niece, was the flower girl.
Attending as best man was Kevin Harmon, cousin, and ushers were Brian Cox and Mike Tibbetts, brothers-in-law, Dave Kady, Garrett Olson and Shawn Hayes, friends, and Justin Adams, cousin. Brendan Cavers and Scott Tibbetts, nephews, were ring bearers.
A reception followed at the Hilton Garden Inn Riverwatch in Auburn, after which the couple traveled to Myan Riviera, Mexico. They are residing in Portland.
The bride is a 2002 graduate of Oxford Hills High School and a 2006 graduate of Franklin Pierce College with a degree in psychology and social work and counseling.
The bridegroom is a 2001 graduate of Oxford Hills High School and a 2005 graduate of Franklin Pierce College with a degree in sports and leisure management.
