LEWISTON – The Senior College “Food for Thought” luncheon program series at USM/Lewiston-Auburn at noon Friday, June 8, will feature a presentation by Kim Finnerty, assistant aquatic director at the Lewiston YWCA, about the importance of daily exercise and its benefits in everyone’s life.
Finnerty will discuss the YWCA’s water fitness and pool programs as well as other balance and dexterity exercises. Attendees should consider wearing comfortable shoes and clothing in order to participate in demonstration exercises that can be done anywhere without expensive equipment.
The program will be held in Function Room 170 at USM/L-A. The cost, which includes lunch, is $6 with advance reservation or $8 at the door, opening at 11:30 a.m. Reservations should be made by Thursday, June 7, by phone at 753-6510 or online at usm.maine.edu/lac.
