LIVERMORE FALLS – The Livermore Falls-Jay Senior Citizens met at Murray Hall on May 21 with 34 members present. Prior to their meeting, a casserole meal was provided by the members, with finger rolls, salads and beans followed by ice cream and cake.

Chairwoman Shirley Couture opened the meeting with a prayer, salute to the flag and a moment of silence for departed members and the men and women in the Armed Forces. The sick list included Dora Slovak and Mary Groleau.

Members sang “Happy Birthday” to those who celebrate birthday in May, June, July and August. May included Pauline Fournier and Gabriel Teixeira; June, Lorette Chabot, Pauline Luciano, Margaret Slovak and Lorette Poulin; July, Sybil Bailey, Ernest Bickford, Theresa Bilodeau, Aurelien Couture, Clemence Moreau, Toni Quirrion, Lucile Frechette and Eugene Roy; and August, Armand Bilodeau, Patricia Couture, Jeane Oakes and Joe Slovak.

The 50-50 was won by Alice Demoras. Shirley Couture extended a wish that members have a happy and healthy summer. The group will meet on Sept. 10, the Monday after Labor Day.
