Sermon topic

PARIS – “What is Mindfulness?” will be Silver Moore-Leamon’s sermon topic on Sunday, June 3, at the First Universalist Church, 36 Pine St., South Paris. The 10 a.m. service will include recognition of the Sunday school, with music by the children’s choir and a trumpet solo by Chris Dowling. Renee Wales will lead the Sunday school. The coffee hour will follow in Good Cheer Hall. Everyone is welcome.

Quilt show

WEST PARIS – A feature of the West Paris Old Home Days celebration of 50 years will be a quilt show and tea from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, June 2, at the West Paris Historical Society Building. The hostess for this show will be Beth Allen. Quilts on display will range from modern to antique. Demonstrators will be Judy Sellers on quilting and Joanna Allen Timberlake on foundation quilting or paper-piecing.
