LEWISTON – The United States Achievement Academy has announced that Janna Laverdiere of Lewiston has been named an All-American Scholar At-Large Award winner. She will appear in the All-American Scholar Official Yearbook published nationally. Laverdiere is a student at Lewiston High School.The academy recognizes fewer than 10 percent of all American high school students. The academy selects All-American Scholar winners based on its standards of selection.

The criteria are a student’s grade point average, achievements and a well-balanced schedule of academics and extracurricular activities. Laverdiere is the daughter of Marc and Margie Laverdiere of Lewiston. Her grandparents are Rodolphe and Carmel Laverdiere of Lewiston and Domingo and Emilia Quare of Oriental Mindoro, Philippines.
