Michelle Wie was the only woman listed by Sports Illustrated among the top 50 American athletes in terms of earnings. I don’t know if that says worse about the state of our culture or our female sports, but it’s quite embarrassing, frankly.

Chicago Cubs pitcher Carlos Zambrano shoved catcher Michael Barrett as the two were being separated in the dugout during the middle of the fifth inning of Friday’s game against Atlanta. Lou Piniella’s managing isn’t making any difference to the Cubs, but they’re sure learning a lot about dugout and clubhouse decorum from him.
