FARMINGTON – Farmington Public Library will sponsor a summer reading program for children of all ages titled “A Bean A Book” from June 14 until Aug. 3.

Library staff will fill jars, individual and group, as a way of tracking efforts. Prizes will be given for books read to or by participants and there will be prizes.

The preschool story hour that meets at 10:15 a.m. Fridays and Baby Rhymes that meets at 10:15 a.m. Wednesdays will continue through the summer.

Participation in the programs is open to all, but if reading materials are to be taken home, a library card in necessary. Borrowing privileges are free to Farmington taxpayers. Industry and Temple residents will be reimbursed by their town halls, and all others pay $25 a household annually.
