STRONG – The 14th annual Lance Corporal Scott Paul Men’s Softball Tournament will be held June 16 and 17 at Strong Legion Field.

Entry fee is $125. Tournament will be a one-pitch format with first, second and third-place trophies awarded.

There will also be a sportsmanship award named after Scott Paul and Joe Harris. Refreshment will be available.

Proceeds will benefit the Scott Paul town park.

Football camps scheduled at Bates

LEWISTON – The Central Maine Football Camp will be hosted by Bates College this again summer.

Session one will be run July 15-19 for players entering grades 9 through 12, with the second session scheduled July 22-26 for players entering grades 3 through 8.

All sessions will be held evenings from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Cost is $75.

The Bobcat Big Men’s Camp for offensive and defensive linemen, tight ends and linebackers is scheduled for June 23 in Merrill Gym at Bates. The camp runs from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The cost of this specialty camp is $50. Players from grades 8 to 12 are eligible.

Bates staff along with other area high school and college coaches will conduct the camp.
