Meeting canceled

RUMFORD – The Thursday, June 21, meeting of the Acadian Society of the Mexico-Rumford area has been canceled. The next meeting will be the annual picnic, tentatively scheduled for early September.

Seniors to meet

DIXFIELD – Neighborly Senior Citizens will meet on Wednesday, June 20, at the Legion Hall. The meeting will start at 11 a.m., followed by a potluck dinner consisting of salads and sandwiches.

Members are reminded to bring their payment for the Cabbage Island trip and to check with Connie if they are still planning on going to the TRIAD picnic on Friday, June 29, as there is a waiting list.

RUMFORD – Stephens High School Class of 1946 will meet at Dino’s for lunch Wednesday, June 20, at 11:30 a.m.

RUMFORD – Stephens High School Class of 1954 will hold the monthly luncheon on Wednesday, June 20, at 11:30 a.m. at the Route 2 Diner.

Adoption meeting

RUMFORD – SMART Child and Family Services will hold an informal meeting for those interested in learning more about foster care and for current foster parents interested in learning the difference between regular and treatment level foster care at 6 p.m. Thursday, June 21, at the Hotel Harris.

Public meeting

MEXICO – The River Valley Technology Center will hold a second public informational evening on Friday, June 22, to explore the shared use kitchen concept. The meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. in the conference room of the center, 60 Lowell St.

It will be an informational evening and idea exchange.
