Sen. Bruce Bryant delivered a check for $500,000 from the Maine Emergency Management Agency to Selectwoman Jackie Conant and Administrative Assistant Kathy Hutchins on June 13. Bryant obtained the funding in the first supplemental budget passed earlier in the legislative session in order to assist the town in relocating village infrastructure from the flood zone to higher ground. The funding will serve as seed money in the pursuit of additional dollars from the federal government and other sources. From the left are Conant, Bryant and Hutchins.
