LEWISTON – Eddie West sparked a four-run fourth inning with a bases-loaded sacrifice fly as Gayton earned a 6-2 victory over New Auburn on Wednesday.

Mekae Hyde sealed the win with a two-out, two-run single. West led Gayton (5-2) with three hits, while Travis Dyke, Erik Waite and Greg Labonte combined for six. Eddie West was solid on the mound scattering three hits over six innings.

Tyler Dorris and Bump Heldman each hit a double for New Auburn (4-2).

Monmouth 2, Rockland Amato’s 0

MONMOUTH – Ethan Guerette erupted for three hits, including a home run, as Monmouth shut down Rockland Amato’s 2-0 in Zone II action Wednesday.

Mike Eaton added a pair of hits and knocked in the game-winner with an RBI double in the first inning. Justin Denbow went the distance for Monmouth (6-0), fanning eight while allowing just four hits.

Domonick Morrill and Nick Lemieux paced Rockland (5-3) with two hits apiece.
