The Great Falls Outlaws rebounded from last Sunday’s 15-2 defeat with a 15-2 victory of their own over the Kennebec Indians in Men’s Senior Baseball League action.

Greg Massey once again led the Outlaws with seven shutout innings on the mound. Massey allowed four hits and no walks, striking out six. He also helped his own cause by going 3-for-5 and driving in two runs.

The game looked to be a pitchers’ duel at the outset. Kennebec starter Shane Benedict cruised through two innings, while Massey pitched out of a second inning, bases-loaded, no-out jam.

Great Falls seized the momentum from there, scoring three in the third off Benedict. After a scoreless bottom of the third, the Outlaws put the game away in the fourth with a seven-run deluge, highlighted by a three-run homer by Dave Coburn to make it 10-0.

Coburn had two hits and three RBIs for the winners. Rod Bates had three hits and knocked in three to continue his hitting streak. Val Beaudet and Craig Farrington each had three hits and two RBIs for the Outlaws (3-4).
