LEWISTON – Mike Morin’s Auto Center advanced to the championship round of the Elliot Ave. Little League playoffs with a 15-0 semifinal win over Rowe Lewiston on Tuesday night.
Jake Bergeron was the winning pitcher, holding Rowe to three hits and helping his own cause by hitting a triple and a three run home run over the left field fence. Eric Soucy smacked three hits, while Luke Cote and Paul Dostie each delivered two.
Caleb Dostie, Andrew Butler, Rudy Pandora, Lucas Rushton and Jarrod Poulin each had a hit for Morin.
Kyle Lemelin pitched well for Rowe and added a hit along with Evan Bourassa and Coleman Morency. Mike Morin’s will face Healey’s in the championship game at 5:30 p.m. tonight at Elliot Ave. Field.
South Lewiston LL All-Star season to begin
LEWISTON – Nine and 10-year-old all-stars from South Lewiston Little League will begin their season this weekend.
South Lewiston will meet Hall-Dale on Saturday at New Auburn Little League Field.
Team members are Andrew Loisell, Devin Michaud, Ben Trytek, Taylor Vaillancourt, Jacob Gosselin, Ryan Bell, Isaiah Harris, Elijah Harris, Elijah Cady, Dan Fournier, Brandon Verge and Michael Wong.
Coaches are Erik Tiner, Pat Loisell and Dan Fournier.
