RANGELEY – The Rangeley Lakes Trails Center on Saddleback Mountain announced a new membership format and expanded activities for all seasons. Even though the Trails Center is operated by the Rangeley Lakes Cross Country Ski Club, the events aren’t limited to the snow season here.

In an effort to broaden the membership base which has traditionally been xc-ski season pass holders, the Trails Center is now offering basic memberships for $15 for individuals and $25 for families. Membership benefits include discounts on merchandise and events, newsletter, calendar of events, and more. Look for the Rangeley Lakes Trails Center table at almost every festival venue in Rangeley this summer for a membership application.

The Trails Center is raffling a kayak for $5 per chance or $10 for three chances. The featured kayak is a red Cape Horn by Wilderness Systems. It retails for $1,000 and has been donated to the center by Ecopelagicon.

The Saddleback Challenge Mountain Bike race will be held on Sunday, Sept. 2, at the Trails Center.

Details and registration for the race are available at Seasonal Cycles on Main Street, or call 864-2100.
