AUBURN – The artwork in L/A Arts’ Art & Ale Window (Gritty’s corner window at Main and Court streets in Auburn) has once again been exchanged to showcase another local artist and offer art lovers a fresh site upon which to gaze – and from which to buy new artwork.
The exhibit contains both traditional and non-traditional photographic methods, such as the work by photographer and digital artist Tamera Grieshaber. Works will remain up through Aug. 9.
“My photography includes the macro examination of the world around me, scenic vistas, and the fascinating people I meet. Each photo shares a story; each story is a moment to treasure,” said Grieshaber.
Most recently, she has been experimenting with transforming her photos into digital paintings. Closely studying the styles, brush strokes and colors of various traditional artists, she explores, emphasizes and develops her own style as a digital painter.
“I am always looking for new concepts and new stories. I bring my passion for art and expertise for photography to every commission that I accept.”
Artwork in the window is available for purchase through L/A Arts. The Art & Ale Window Gallery is a free service for local artists, providing them with an opportunity to show and sell their work to the public. While the space is made available by Gritty McDuff’s, the artwork is selected and displayed by L/A Arts. To purchase art or find out more about the window gallery, visit L/A Arts’ Web site at www.laarts.org (where the current window gallery artwork can be viewed virtually) or call the local arts agency at 207-782-7228.
