MEXICO – An 11-year-old girl was allegedly sexually assaulted on June 27 at a Mexico home.

Police Detective Paul Casey, investigator of sexual abuse and assault cases for Rumford, Mexico and Dixfield, said the incident was reported at 8 p.m. Wednesday.

He said the girl was taken by her mother to Rumford Hospital for a forensic examination, then to Spurwink Services, based in Portland, for additional exams. The girl is now at home.

Casey said no arrests had been made by Monday afternoon; however, he said he has a suspect and is continuing the investigation.
