WILTON – Foothills Summer Arts is accepting registrations for its 17th annual July creative learning workshops for students who have just completed grades four to 12.

In workshops in art, theater, writing, creative movement and music, participants create original theater scenes, dance pieces and songs, as well as poems, stories and 2-D and 3-D art work.

Foothills Summer Arts will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, July 9 to 13, for students completing grades four to six and July 16 to 20 for students completing grades seven to 12.

The teachers are professional artists who look forward each summer to the opportunity to share the creative process and imaginative thinking with young people. The teachers and students work and play together in a supportive atmosphere.

Sliding fees, scholarships and transportation assistance are available. The full tuition is $170. For details about the workshops and scholarships, contact Director Anne Geller: 778-0448, info@foothillsarts.org, or see the program description at foothillsarts.org.

Foothills Summer Arts is held at Academy Hill School and is sponsored by the Foothills Arts Center, a nonprofit community organization founded in 1989 to bring together children and adults, artists and audiences to share the arts in an atmosphere that encourages learning, exploration and collaboration.
