TURNER – John Jordan who assisted recently with the planting of American flags to commemorate Independence Day and honor those who died in America’s wars is a Vietnam era veteran. He was in the service during the Vietnam War from Feb. 28, 1961, to May 7, 1975, but did not serve in Vietnam. The information was incorrect in an A1 story on July 10.
