The city has closed the Canal Street/Centreville Plaza parking garage until October for repairs and upgrades. The last day of work for parking garage attendants was July 20. There is no smiling face nodding at me in the morning. No kind words at the end of the day as I head home.
I hear that automated machines may be put in to let me into and out of the garage when it is again open. Personally, I’d rather see Mr. Langelier, wishing me and my family well, when I drive home, not a machine.
