Hunter safety
OXFORD – A hunter safety training program will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 7 and from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 19, at the Lake Thompson Clubhouse, Paine Road, sponsored by Lake Thompson Fish and Game.

Church supper
SUMNER – The Congregational Church of East Sumner will hold a chicken pie supper at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 11, to benefit the Pilgrim Lodge scholarships. Adults $7; and $3.50 for children ages 6 to 12.
Record reunion
OXFORD – The descendants of J. Henry and Nancy (Annie Deering) Record will hold a reunion from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 19, at the home of Gene and Mary Record, East Oxford Road.
Those attending should bring a dish (casserole salad or dessert) to share at the potluck dinner. Beverages and paper goods will be provided.
People are asked to bring an inexpensive item for the Chinese auction. Tickets will be free. Prizes for the oldest, youngest and miles traveled will be given. Genealogy and old pictures for display would be welcome. For more information, call 674-2005.
Health screenings
NORWAY – Life Line Screening will be at the Norway Town Hall Community Room, 19 Danforth St., on Tuesday, Aug. 21. Appointments will begin at 9 a.m.
Screenings involve the use of ultrasound technology and scan for potential health problems related to blocked arteries, aortic aneurysms and hardening of the arteries in the legs. Also offered is a bone density screening.
