RUMFORD – The River Valley Technology Center will host a free workshop from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Aug. 16.

Presenter Meriby Sweet, director of the Maine Small Business and Technology Development Center at MTI, has 20 years of experience in technology ventures, ranging from hardware and lasers to software and e-commerce. The presentation will include the topics: Do you have what it takes to be your own boss? How do you move your idea to commercialization? What resources will you need to get started, to keep going? Attendees will also learn how the SBDC and the Growth Council can help them move their ideas forward.
