AUBURN – The Auburn Recreation Department is planning an assortment of football and cheering programs this fall.

The Third-Fourth-Grade Tackle Team will take on clubs from surrounding areas between mid-September and the end of October. Entry fee is $65 for residents and $90 for non-residents. A coaches’ meeting is set for August 20 at 6 p.m. at the Auburn Recreation Department.

The Fifth-Sixth-Grade Tackle Team will compete in the Two Rivers Youth Football League. Registration fee is $75 for residents and $100 for non-residents. Coaches will meet on August 20 at 6 p.m.

A cheering program is planned for the Third through Sixth-Grade team. Cost is $35 for residents and $55 for non-residents.

Cheering is also planned for the Seventh-Eighth-Grade Team. Fee is $50 for residents and $75 for those out-of-town.

Norway registration set

NORWAY – The Norway Recreation Department is conducting youth football and soccer registration on Thursday, August 16 from 5:30-7:30 at Oxford Hills High School in the wrestling room.

The Oxford Hills Athletic Boosters sponsor soccer and football for Grades 1-6. The Towns of Norway and Paris sponsor a Kindergarten soccer program. This is the final registration for soccer. Football will hold another sign-up session on Saturday, August 18 from 9 a.m. to 12 noon at the same site. Registration forms are available for these programs, and the Western Maine Youth Ice Hockey progam for those 4-14, at the Norway Town Office.
