LEWISTON – Women, Work, and Community, a statewide non-profit organization, will be offering a free, 8-week class, “Creating your future training,” for anyone interested in planning for the future and not just the next job.
Those attending will explore values and interests, uncover transferable skills, look at ways a job affects their personal finances, and find out what new skills, education or training might be needed to fulfill a life plan.
Pre-registration is required. Orientation for the class will be Sept. 18. Regular class sessions will be held on Sept. 25; Oct. 2, 9, 16, 23, 30; and Nov. 6 and 13, from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at USM/UMA Lewiston Auburn College, 51-55 Westminster St.
This class is open to men and women. For more information or to register, call the Lewiston-Auburn Center for Women,
Work and Community at 753-6612.
