SOUTH PORTLAND (AP) – Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush was the keynote speaker Thursday at the Maine Heritage Policy Center’s 2007 Freedom and Opportunity Luncheon.

Organizers said more than 300 people attended the annual fundraiser.

In conjunction with the event, the center released a report, Governor Jeb Bush: A Record of Leadership and Policy Achievement.

The organization also honored Waterville Mayor Paul LePage and state Rep. Scott Lansley, R-Sabattus.
