The Rockin’ Recons, one of Maine’s top classic rock ‘n’ roll bands, will perform at 5:30 tonight at Simard & Payne Memorial Park (formerly Railroad Park) in Lewiston as part of the 15th Annual Great Falls Balloon Festival. The six musicians, who stem from the Pal Hop days, are Bob Blais, lead guitar and vocals; Ron Vachon, guitar and vocals; Denny Blais, bass and vocals; Mike Asselin, keyboard, bass and vocals; Doug Doyer, drums; and Roger Blais, guitar, percussion and vocals. The group will perform rock ‘n’ roll favorites from throughout the years.
