GORHAM – A field hockey clinic for those in Grades 3-8 will be held Sunday, August 26 from 2-5 p.m., at Hodgdon Field on the USM Gorham Campus.

The USM field hockey team will instruct on fundamental skills. Cost is $20 for pre-registration and $25 on the day of the event.

Participants should bring cleats or sneakers, a water bottle and a stick. Sticks will be available, if needed.

Triathlon is held

PORTLAND – Kurt Perham, 36, of Brunswick finished with a clocking of 2:14:54 to take top honors in the recent Zone Urban/EPIC Triathlon. Griffin Weiler, 19, of Boalsburg, Pa., was second with a time of 2:21:23.

In the Women’s Division, Catherine Payson, 42, of Cape Elizabeth, took first with a time of 2:29:45, followed by Erin Brennan, 41 of Portland, 2:31:31.
