WINTHROP – Winthrop Area YMCA is now taking registrations for the Youth Soccer and Field Hockey Programs.

Youth soccer is open to boys and girls in Grades K-5, and games will be played on Saturdays at the YMCA Camp in East Winthop, beginning Sept. 8.

Field hockey for boys and girls in Grades 3-5 will also play on Saturdays at Winthrop High School Field at 8:30 a.m., starting Sept. 8.

Field hockey clinic set

GORHAM – A field hockey clinic for those in Grades 3-8 will be held Sunday, August 26 from 2-5 p.m., at Hodgdon Field on the USM Gorham Campus.

The USM field hockey team will instruct on fundamental skills. Cost is $20 for pre-registration and $25 on the day of the event.

Participants should bring cleats or sneakers, a water bottle and a stick. Sticks will be available for those who need one.
