NEW GLOUCESTER – Maine vocalist, pianist and composer Rebecca Wing has put together an all-woman jazz and blues band called Tuff Skirts, which will perform Saturday, Sept. 1, at the Village Coffeehouse at the First Congregational Church.

The band specializes in smoking blues, boogie and jazz tunes with a dash of pop and original tunes thrown in the mix. The quintet has Liz Matta on sax, Michelle Kingston on trumpet, Kim Bird on bass, Tiffanie Pepa on drums and Rebecca on vocals/piano.

Tuff Skirts will play at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 at the door
