WILTON – The 12th reunion of the descendants of Alton and Ethel (York) Adams was held July 28 at Kineowatha Park.
A day of socializing and activities was held, starting with coffee and breakfast treats. A potluck dinner was served at 1 p.m. followed by the business meeting called to order by President Andy Goodwin.
A moment of silence was held for deceased members and a time of reminiscing of the life of the honorary president, Vera Corey, who died in May. Jimmy Adams is the new honorary president.
Cathy Goodwin reported on the family cookbook. She still needs more recipes. Richard Corey would like pictures for the family album he is compiling. Graduates noted this year were: high school, McKinley Adams and Ashley Goodwin; college, Monica Adams.
It was decided to still hold reunions at Kineowatha Park if the road to Pease Pond is not fixed. Next year’s reunion will be July 26.
The statistical report given by the secretary: five births, one marriage and two deaths. There are now 131 direct descendants, 172 including spouses, and 14 direct descendant deaths.
