MEXICO – The Mexico Public Library hosts a preschool story and craft hour from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesdays. All children ages 2 to 5 are welcome and encouraged to attend.

The September schedule is as follows:

Sept. 4, school stories: “The Berenstain Bears Go to School,” Stan and Jan Berenstain; “Time for School, Nathan!,” Lulu Delacre; “The Day Jimmy’s Boa Ate the Wash,” Trinka Hakes Noble; “David Goes to School,” David Shannon; and “Timothy Goes to School,” Rosemary Wells. The craft will be paper pals.

Sept. 11, stories about growing up: “When I was Little,” Jamie Lee Curtis; “Tell Me What it’s Like to be Big,” Joyce Dunbar; “Billy is a Big Boy,” Don Hoffman; and “I Can Do it Myself,” Emily Perl Kingsley. The craft will be finger-painting.

Sept. 18, no story hour.

Sept. 25, apple stories: “That Apple is Mine!,” Katya Arnold; “Oliver’s Fruit Salad,” Vivian French; “Max and Mo Go Apple Picking,” Patricia Lakin; and “How to Make Apple Pie and See the World,” Marjorie Priceman. Apple prints will be the craft.
