FARMINGTON – Approximately 6,400 Central Maine Power Co. customers had to prepare for work and school without power Monday morning when an insulator malfunctioned, said a CMP representative. The power failed at 6:20 a.m. and was restored after 8 a.m., she said.
New Sharon, Farmington, Industry, Wilton to Vienna, Anson, New Portland, New Vineyard, Strong, Avon, Phillips, Kingfield and surrounding areas were darkened.
