FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) – The New England Patriots signed quarterback David Greene and defensive back Raymond Ventrone to their practice squad on Wednesday.

They released from the practice squad offensive tackle Clint Oldenbourg, who they drafted in the fifth round out of Colorado State this year.

Greene became the winningest quarterback in NCAA history when he won 42 games with Georgia. He was drafted in the third round by Seattle in 2005. The Seahawks released him on Sept. 2 after he didn’t play in any of the 32 regular-season games the past two seasons.

Ventrone also was released on Sept. 2, by the New York Jets. They added him to the practice squad two days later then released him on Sept. 12. He originally signed with the Patriots as an undrafted free agent from Villanova on April 28, 2005.
