I have read two letters to the editor from veterans concerning the picture captioned of “Where the dogs pee.” (Sept. 2.) I, also, was offended by that gross insult to veterans of the wars.

The Sun Journal has stooped to a new low when it insults the brave women and men who gave part or all of their lives to keep this country free. In fact, if it hadn’t been for those brave people, there wouldn’t be any newspaper.

That is why I believe the Sun Journal should apologize to the veterans of the Lewiston-Auburn area.

It’s only fair.
