RUMFORD – Pancake breakfast fans will have two opportunities to relish pancakes, sausage, juice and coffee prepared and served up by the Rotarians of the Rumford Area Rotary Club.

On Saturday, Oct. 6, they will be at the Rumford Hospital Family Fun Festival at Black Mountain of Maine. Breakfast will be served from 7 to 10 a.m. in the lodge. Other activities that day will include trail races, a bike rodeo, a fitness fair, fly casting and Nordic walking demonstrations and a chowder cook-off.

The following Saturday, Oct. 13, will find Rotarians cooking up a storm at Oktoberfest at the Adult Activity Center on Lincoln Avenue. Breakfast will be served from 8 until 10 a.m. Other attractions will include activities for children, including pumpkin painting, craft sales, a book booth, a palm reader and baked goods.

Proceeds from the breakfasts will help fund gifts to local charities and scholarships for local students going on to college.
