NORWAY – Western Maine Health President and Chief Executive Officer Timothy Churchill has announced that Tere Porter, photographer as well as local optometrist, will have an exhibit at Stephens Memorial Hospital through the end of October.
Porter has been taking photographs of nature for more than four decades, receiving his first 35mm camera as a high school graduation gift. Porter has long been intrigued by the beauty of nature, saying, “I love the beauty of a single flower. The petals are so delicate, indicate and exciting to behold. When I see a sunset of vivid hues, I can’t help but try to catch the majesty of the moment”
Porter’s photographs are also exhibited at his office at 66 Paris St. in Norway as well as on his Web site at www.tereporter.photostockplus.com.
Stephens Volunteer Services works with local artists and artisans to provide a year-round exhibition at the hospital.
