HARRISON – The Western Maine Fish & Game Club will hold its first annual Turkey-Shoot/Field Day on Sunday, Oct. 14 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at its range located on Route 117 in Harrison, near the transfer station.

The event is open to the public. Competition will include 100-yard targets using rifles, with or without scopes, muzzleloaders and shotguns with slugs. Allowed positions will be standing or bench rest.

Entry fee is $1 per round. Ammunition is to be provided by the shooter, with the exception of the shot shell event.

Prizes will be awarded for each event and there will be a 50-50 drawing. Food and beverages will be available. Rain date is Oct. 21.
