PARIS – New and unique crafts can be found at this year’s 33rd annual Distributive Education Clubs of America Holiday Craft Fair, hosted by the marketing/DECA students of Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School.
The fair will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, at Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School, Paris.
In charge of the show this year are Ashley-anne Chaplin, Monica Martin, Dan Millett and Kari Pelletier.
“Your favorite crafters will be returning along with several new ones with some unique items,” said Millett.
“Some of the new crafts are painted glass, children’s furniture and wall hangings, unique photography, specialty foods, monogrammed items and primitive old-fashioned soaps and dolls.”
Other highlights are a performance from the Viking Show Choir, free babysitting, holiday music and more than 100 door prizes.
Admission is $1 for adults; age 12 and younger and 65 and older, free.
The craft fair is the culmination of a marketing/DECA learning project, in which all 27 students in the technical school programs are involved.
Law enforcement students help with parking, and graphic arts students design and print posters, flyers and programs.
CAD students help map the crafters’ areas. All proceeds benefit the activities of the DECA students, including their leadership conference and state and national marketing competitions.
